On Wednesday’s GFB at 12:15 – Janise Smith, owner of Home Instead Senior Care in Scarborough, will talk about how eating alone and poor nutrition go hand-in-hand for seniors.
New research sheds light on seniors’ eating habits: Canadian seniors like taking part in family meals, but they often eat alone. That is according to a research study conducted for the Home Instead Senior Care(r) network, which showed that lack of the shared family experience, including companionship, is the biggest mealtime challenge for seniors.
